We specialize in historic sign markers for homes, businesses, taverns and historic sites etc. We use weather resistant or oil based painters enamel for all our hand painted signs. In early "1787", we began Ould Colony Artisans specializing in hand painted historic and decorative house and business signs inspired by the lettering styles and images found on old grave markers.
Combining our artistic skills with extensive historical knowledge of the 18th and 19th centuries from over 25 years of active involvement in civilian and military re-enacting, we have expanded our offerings to include chests, lap top desks, trays, framed pictures painted on wood, etc. A decidedly maritime flavour characterizes our work.
